Diagnostics
A focused assessment for noise, shifting, braking, fit touchpoints, wear, or the hard-to-name problem that needs more time than a counter conversation can give it.
AssessmentMadison / Private Workshop
For riders who care about how it feels — not just that it works.
Philosophy
Method exists for riders who care about the feeling of the bike: the almost-silent shift, the brake that returns cleanly, the cockpit that feels settled, the drivetrain that disappears beneath the ride.
The work is appointment-based, deliberate, and clear. Technical complexity is handled behind the bench, then translated into plain language so the rider can stay engaged without having to become the mechanic.
Services
Each appointment is scoped around the bicycle in front of us, not a rushed checklist. The goal is quiet function, proper adjustment, and a simple experience that removes the usual shop chaos.

CompleteAssembly, overhaul, component selection, and complex work for riders who want a bicycle to feel coherent from the first mile.
BespokeFit direction, upgrade strategy, purchase guidance, and practical advice informed by service, brand-side knowledge, and real riding needs.
GuidanceProcess
Share the bicycle, the ride, and what feels off in your own words. The first step is listening closely enough to understand the concern behind the symptom.
Appointments are scheduled with room for proper inspection, realistic scope, and clear communication before the work begins. No confusion, no pressure, no unnecessary noise.
Every adjustment is made with care for fit, finish, torque, compatibility, and the way the finished bike should feel once it is back under you.
About
Method Cycle Workshop is for riders who want an elevated experience, not just a bike that technically works. Quiet drivetrains, trust, careful handling, and a calm process matter here.
The workshop is shaped by 15 years inside the bicycle industry: race mechanic work, manufacturer training, brand-side experience, Shimano technical problem solving, and more than six years consulting across the bike space.
That experience is not here to make service feel over your head. It is here to dissolve the nerdiness into a clear, human format so you can feel confident, taken seriously, and free to focus on riding.
After years of living car-free and racing on the side, the standard became simple: a good bike should feel smooth, quiet, and natural, like a skate on polished ice. The service should feel just as easy to receive.
Questions
The workshop is intentionally simple from the rider side. Bring the concern, the bike, and the kind of riding you want to do. The mechanical path can be translated from there.

Method is a private, appointment-based bicycle workshop, not a traditional walk-in retail shop. The pace is quieter, the scope is clearer, and the work is handled with more intention.

No. Describe what you feel, hear, or notice while riding. The workshop will translate that into plain language, realistic options, and a service path that makes sense.
